Virtual Film Screening - 'The Story of Plastic'

Plastic is cheap, lightweight, durable, and convenient, but the magnitude of the pollution caused by plastic is so great that it now impacts the health of our planet.  Nearly every piece of plastic starts as fossil fuel, linking it to climate change and the degradation of human health.


 A free screening of “The Story of Plastic” is being sponsored by the Environmental Justice Task Force of Faith Action for Community Equity.  This documentary takes you behind the scenes to show the pollution caused by the production and processing of plastic, as well as the pollution caused by the disposal of plastic (only 2% is effectively recycled).  

You are invited to join with others online to watch the video on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 12:30 – 2:00 pm, with a discussion to follow, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.  Register in advance for this meeting:
