I never wanted to be a spokesperson for my neighborhood. But well #SS-25 blew up and methane gas spewed unabated into my community of Porter Ranch, northern most part of the city of Los Angeles, California in October 2015. With help from Food & Water Watch we organized, protested, talked to the media and gave webinars as many neighbors told us to shut up because we were hurting property values. I felt a sense of responsibility, so rarely did I refuse an opportunity to speak out.
